Are you going down to the beach today?

You are never far from a beach at La Cinuelica! Some are within walking distance, others are a short drive, and many are 'Blue Flag' beaches, which have to meet a strict criteria for cleanliness, water quality and facilities.  There are too many to list individually, but these are some of our favourites in the Torrevieja and Orihuela Costa area....

Roccio Del Mar / Punta Prima Beach

      
Punta Prima is the nearest beach to your apartment, being only a short 10-15 minute walk or a minute or so in the car, and is just great if you want a stroll on the beach. If you are a family with young children, the size of this lovely curved sandy beach makes it easier to keep an eye on them. It is however the smallest of the local beaches so if you're looking for full facilities, and you have a car, you may wish to drive the extra few minutes elsewhere. There is also a very popular restaurant, Nautilus, which is open all day and serves pizzas, pasta, meat and fish.

Cala Cerrada and Cala Bosque at La Zenia

Less than a 10 minute drive, these are a couple of the major blue flag beaches in the area, and they are situated adjacent to the La Zenia hotel. You can try your hand at jet skiing and many other sports in the summer months.

Playa Flamenca Beaches

     
The beaches of Cala Mosca and Cala Estaca at Playa Flamenca are two beautiful coves of lovely golden sand that are separated by a palm tree laden promenade. Facilities include showers, sunbeds, parasols etc, and the beaches are patrolled by lifeguards. Make sure you don't miss the lobster restaurant, Den Engel! 5-10 minutes drive from the apartment.

La Mata blue flag beaches

The blue flag beaches at La Mata are arguably some of the best beaches in Spain particularly if you enjoy long stretches of lovely golden sand. La Mata can sometimes be quieter than other beaches in the area (but don't tell anyone else!)
